IASC Next Career Pathways construction tours

On Friday, Jan. 26, fifty-seven students from seven Itasca Area Schools Collaborative (IASC) high schools toured area businesses as part of a career-connected experience coordinated by the IASC NEXT Career Pathways program.

The Forge and Acme Tools, Hawkinson Construction and The City of Grand Rapids’ Yanmar Arena hosted students from Bigfork, Floodwood, Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Area Learning Center, Greenway, Hill City, and Northland.

Business and industry tours are an important part of building a strong construction career workforce for the future. Thanks to all participating businesses and teachers who committed to providing this valuable experience for students in the IASC NEXT Construction Career Pathway.
